Honda launches BS6 compliant Activa 6G in India

Honda has launched the new Activa 6G scooter in India. The Honda Activa is the most iconic nameplate in the Indian automobile market and this popular scooter now comes in a BS6 compliant avatar.

Powering the Honda Activa 6G is a 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SI engine producing 7.79 PS of power @ 8000 RPM and 8.79 Nm of torque @ 5250 RPM matched to a conventional CVT automatic gearbox. The Activa 6G now comes with fuel-injection technology. The scooter comes with eSP technology which includes ASG motor for silent start, friction reduction technology, and PGM-FI. The scooter now has better mid-range and bottom-end performance.

The 2020 Honda Activa 6G measures 1833mm in length, 697mm in width and 1156mm in height with a wheelbase of 1260mm. The Activa 6G now rides on a telescopic front suspension and a 3-step adjustable rear spring loaded hydraulic suspension. The bike runs on a 12″ front wheel and a 10″ rear wheel with tubeless tyres. At both ends, you get 130mm drum brakes and the Activa 6G gets combi-brakes for added safety.

The Activa 6G scooter comes with features such as LED headlamp with LED DRLs, 3.0 Ah battery, viscous paper air filter, external fuel filler cap, multi-function key switch, pass light switch, engine kill switch, analogue speedometer cluster, +18mm ground clearance than before, full metal body all around, 18L under seat storage, chrome garnish on front apron,

6 years 3+3 year warranty as standard on the Honda Activa 6G. Scooters will reach dealerships from the end of January 2020. The scooter now celebrates 20 years in the Indian market, with no competitor even close in the sales performance and mass market acceptance.
