Honda Jazz India launch in July 2015

Honda Jazz India launch in July 2015
Written by Parichay Malvankar

The 3rd generation Honda Jazz launch for the Indian market has been pushed further to July 2015. Previously revealed at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the new Honda Jazz made its global debut in 2013, but is still not available in India.

The reason for the launch date being pushed further is because Honda currently does not have the production capacity to launch a new product and meet customer demand (if high).

Powering the new Jazz will be the 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine and the 1.2L petrol engine in a slightly powerful tune. A CVT gearbox will be mated to the petrol motor and it will get paddle shifts and a transmission lock. Cruise control could also be available. Honda has already started importing kits for the automatic Jazz, and this variant should be available from the first day after the launch itself.

Expected pricing is in the range of Rs. 4.5 – 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
