Honda Motorcycle has announced the start of the Road Safety Summer Camp for children in Hyderabad. The 6-day event aims to educate children on road rules and traffic. The event will be undertaken by HMSI’s skilled safety instructors and police officials. The start day was on 23rd May, and the event will go on till 28th May 2022, where children aged 8 to 14 will participate. Furthermore, this camp will also enable a secure and fun learning platform for children. Other events included as a part of this event are dance, music, handwriting improvement, and personality development.

Key Agenda Of The Program

For better communication of the information, the event will have interactive sessions. Instructors will educate children about the do’s and don’ts while commuting on a school bus and cycling. Children will also get safety tips on-cycle riding, pillion on two-wheeler travelling and safety gear usage. The use of specially imported CRF50 motorcycles to showcase this learning will make it even more interesting for the children. HMSI personnel will also impart knowledge of road rules and regulations, road signs and markings, drivers’ duties on-road, and safe riding etiquette. In addition to all this, children will also enjoy fun educational activities like road safety games and quizzes on a daily basis.

Road Safety Is Of Paramount Importance

The fatalities figures due to road accidents in India rank among the top in the world. This has been the case for a very long time, and the main reason for this is the negligence of road safety habits. Thus, Honda has taken the initiative to make significant changes and help the cause. What better than educating the children from a young age with all the necessary teachings regarding road safety? Alongside this, Honda regularly conducts road safety awareness events in various cities. In fact, HMSI started the digital road safety education initiative – Honda Road Safety E-Gurukul, to enable maximum participation.
