Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the Gold Wing 50th Anniversary Edition, marking five decades of the iconic touring motorcycle. Priced at INR 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), the special edition pays tribute to the legacy of the Gold Wing, which first debuted in 1975.

Exclusive Anniversary Edition features

The 50th Anniversary Gold Wing comes with several special touches, including:

  • Bordeaux Red Metallic paint scheme, replacing the Eternal Gold color available in international markets.
  • 50th Anniversary emblem on the fuel tank and smart key fob, featuring the ‘Since 1975’ marking.
  • Custom welcome screen, displaying the Gold Wing’s historic journey when the bike is started.

Powertrain and performance

Honda has retained the Gold Wing’s signature flat-six engine, ensuring buttery-smooth touring performance. Key specifications include:

  • 1,833cc liquid-cooled flat-six engine, producing 126.4 hp and 170 Nm of torque.
  • 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with reverse gear, making long-distance touring effortless.
  • Four riding modes—Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain—allowing riders to customize their experience.

Technology and comfort features

The Gold Wing 50th Anniversary Edition is packed with premium touring features, including:

  • 7.0-inch full-color TFT display, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
  • Bluetooth connectivity, two USB Type-C ports, and an updated premium audio system.
  • Electronically adjustable windscreen, improving aerodynamics and rider comfort.
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and dual-channel ABS, ensuring safety on long rides.

Market position and availability

Honda has priced the Gold Wing 50th Anniversary Edition at INR 39.90 lakh, making it INR 70,000 more expensive than the standard Gold Wing Tour. Interestingly, Honda has reduced the price of the standard model to INR 39.20 lakh, creating a clearer distinction between the two.

Bookings for the Anniversary Edition are now open at Honda BigWing Topline dealerships, with deliveries set to begin in June 2025.
