Honda’s new SUV for India : What do we know so far?

As reported earlier, the SUV could fall within 4.2-4.3 meters in length. Honda is going to use a new version of an existing platform for this SUV. This platform is currently being used in the Honda Amaze. That said, Honda has been quite tight lipped about this car.

On the insides, we can expect this new SUV to come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Honda is also likely to offer the Honda Sensing ADAS suite of technology on this vehicle to distinguish it from rivals.

Honda plans to expand manufacturing capacity

Honda CEO Takuya Tsumura told the media that the Japanese carmaker plans to grow more than last year. Hence to manage demand, the daily quota of cars at the Tapukara Plant in Rajasthan will be increased to 660 vehicles from the earlier 540 units. This increase will occur from April 2023.

Honda City Facelift launched

Honda has just announced the launch of the 2023 City facelift. The City facelift is priced from INR 11.49 lakh to INR 15.97 lakh while the City e:HEV is offered in two variants – the V priced at INR 18,89,000 and the top-end X at INR 20,39,000.

The City facelift gets some minor cosmetic changes. But Honda has added some more features to the sedan. Customers can also get a new colour shade compared to the outgoing car. The City is also the only car to be on sale since the last 25 years in India. The old guard has been strong in the market despite competition from the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz and Skoda-Volkswagen twins of Slavia and Virtus.
