Honda Cars India has introduced a new limited-edition variant of its popular mid-size sedan—the Honda City Sport. Priced at INR 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the City Sport brings a bolder, more youthful aesthetic to the City lineup, targeting buyers who crave individuality and a spirited driving experience.
This new variant is based on the mid-spec V CVT trim and commands a premium of INR 49,000 over it.
Exterior: Blacked-out and bold
The City Sport stands out with a series of black-themed exterior upgrades, including:
- Gloss black front grille
- Black trunk lip spoiler and shark fin antenna
- Black ORVMs and grey multi-spoke alloy wheels
- Exclusive ‘Sport’ badge on the tailgate
It is available in three monotone shades: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.
Interior: Red accents and ambient glow
Inside, the City Sport features an all-black cabin with contrasting red stitching on the seats, steering wheel, and door inserts. The dashboard gets a dark red garnish, while the AC vents are finished in gloss black.
A standout addition is the 7-colour rhythmic ambient lighting, which enhances the cabin’s sporty vibe. The seats, gear knob, and steering wheel are wrapped in leatherette upholstery, adding a premium touch.
Features and safety
The City Sport retains all features from the V CVT variant, including:
- 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Push-button start/stop, auto climate control, and paddle shifters
- Honda Sensing ADAS suite, offering adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and more
- Six airbags, rear parking sensors, and hill start assist
Powertrain and efficiency
Under the hood, the City Sport uses the familiar 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, producing 121 PS and 145 Nm. It is paired exclusively with a CVT gearbox, delivering a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.4 km/l.
