Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched its new premium naked sportbikes, the CB750 and the CB1000 Hornet SP. Read their complete details below.

Honda CB750 Hornet launch details

Honda CB750 Hornet

The CB750 Hornet is one of its kind in India. It is powered by a 75cc, parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, which develops 90.52 bhp and 75 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively.

The new CB750 Hornet boasts an aggressive riding stance with an upright position. It features sharp styling cues, including the bright LED headlamp, USD front forks, lifted tail, and an upright exhaust can.

In terms of features, it is loaded with a digital TFT console, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, navigation support, ride modes, traction control, and more.

The launch price of the CB750 is Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom), which seems reasonable considering the fact that it is a CBU model.

The official bookings for the CB750 have commenced, and the deliveries are slated for next month.

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP launch details

Honda CB1000 Hornet SP

In addition to the CB750, Honda has also introduced its flagship CB1000 Hornet SP naked sportsbike. The launch price for the CB1000 is Rs 12.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

The CB1000 Hornet features an imposing design with its dual-pod LED headlamps, golden USD forks, a sculpted fuel tank, split seat, and a wide rear section design.

Additionally, it is powered by a silky-smooth 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine, which develops 155 bhp and 107 Nm of power and torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission and a slip/assist clutch.

Feature-wise, it is loaded with different ride modes, traction control modes, ABS modes, ride-by-wire, TFT colour console, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, etc.

The official deliveries of the CB1000 Hornet SP will start next month, whilst the bookings are now open.

Our verdict

Honda’s latest sportbike addition to its premium two-wheeler portfolio is surely appealing to premium buyers. However, the entry-level performance segment of 250-500cc in India still awaits for an affordable premium product from Honda.
