Honda CB1000 Hornet coming soon – What to expect?
It seems that Honda is making a comeback in the premium two-wheeler segment with a powerful plan.
The Japanese company recently launched the X-ADV 750 maxi scooter in India, and now the CB1000 Hornet naked sportsbike is in the pipeline for debut.
As per an online report, Honda will soon introduce the CB1000 to compete with popular rivals like the Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple R.
The expected price tag for the top-of-the-line Honda naked sportsbike will be under Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
In terms of design, it features an upright yet aggressive riding stance, along with a sculpted fuel tank and split seat, giving it a proper naked sportsbike outlook.
Apart from the great fit and finish, it also features the latest technology, which includes a coloured TFT console, riding modes, traction control, adjustable Showa suspension, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, and more.
Powering the CB1000 Hornet is a 999cc, inline-four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which develops 152 bhp and 104 Nm of peak power and torque.
Honda plans to bring the CB1000 to India as a CBU product, and it will be sold through the Honda Big Wing showrooms exclusively.
Our verdict
The upcoming Honda CB1000 Hornet will add another feather to the Japanese brand’s premium product lineup. However, Indian fans of Honda are still waiting for more affordable and powerful products like the CBR250RR, which appears to be nowhere in sight for launch.
