Honda begins all India dispatch of CB300F sports bike

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has commenced all India dispatch of its all-new CB300F. This motorcycle is taking shape from HMSI’s 4th factory located at Vithalapur in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat. Furthermore, to commemorate the rollout of the newly launched motorcycle, Honda celebrated by conducting a special line-off ceremony. The CB300F will make use of a special line designated for mid-size motorcycles. Thus, it would cater to both domestic and export demand. Meanwhile, the main manufacturing lines of the factory will continue to cater to the scooter demand.

2022 Honda CB300F – A Brief Overview

The CB300F is yet another powerful and aggressive addition to Honda’s motorcycle line-up. This latest entrant in the 300-500cc segment is set to delight customers with its power pack performance. The motorcycle uses a 293cc Oil-cooled 4-Valve SOHC engine. The output figure of this unit reads as around 24 BHP of peak power and 25.6 Nm of peak torque. The equipped gearbox is a 6-speed manual unit which gets a slipper clutch along with oil-cooling.

The CB300F is available in three colour shade options. This includes Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Mat Marvel Blue Metallic and Sports Red. There are also two variants on offer – Deluxe and Deluxe Pro. Honda has put on generous pricing for the CB300F. The motorcycle will retail with a price tag starting from INR 2.25 lac (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Given CB300F’s pricing and performance figure, it will compete against the likes of KTM 250 Duke, Gixxer 250, Bajaj Dominar 250 and likes.

HMSI Vithalapur Plant In Gujarat

Production operations at the Vithalapur plant (Gujarat) first started in the fiscal year 2014-15. Located about 80 km from Ahmedabad city, the plant has a total area of 250 acres. Currently, Honda manufacturers Activa (110cc and 125cc), Dio and Grazia from this plant. Now with the launch of CB300F, the plant will also take up the responsibility for its manufacturing. In December 2021, the manufacturing of global engines started from this factory. A dedicated engine line is set up that will serve the growing demand from global markets. This includes the likes of the US, Thailand, Japan, Australia, Canada, Europe, and Gulf nations, among others.
