Honda ADV 350 adventure scooter coming to India?

Written by Rohit Tonapi

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSCI) has recently filed design patents for two of its scooters that are available in the international market. This includes the off-road-focused maxi-scooter ADV350. The maxi-scooter is already on sale in the international markets, such as the European market. Except for the recently launched pair of Keeway scooters, India is void of affordable proper sub-300cc scooters. The segment is very popular in the European countries, where a lot of people prefer them because of their practicality.

Honda ADV 350 – Highlights

The ADV 350 made its debut at the EICMA 2021. The scooter looks like a toned-down, smaller version of the X-ADV. The X-ADV uses a 750cc engine and comes with a 6-speed DCT gearbox. The ADV 350, on the other hand, uses the same engine as Honda’s Forza 350. It is a 330cc liquid-cooled unit with 28.8 BHP and 31.5 Nm of torque. Unlike the X-ADV, the ADV350 uses a CVT transmission. Honda has also equipped the scooter with 2-level torque control.

The scooter uses upside-down forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear. As for braking hardware, it uses a 256mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. In addition to this, the ADV 350 also gets dual-channel ABS as standard. The ADV350 also gets wide tyres. They measure 120-section in the front and 140-section at the back. At the same time, the front uses a larger 15-inch wheel, while the rear uses a 14-inch one.

Honda ADV 350 – Price & Expected Launch

The Honda ADV 350 comes with a sticker price of GPB 5,699 in the UK. The figure roughly is INR 5.55 lakh. If Honda brings it to India, there is a chance it will find very few takers. Hence, there is a possibility that Honda might not bring the scooter to India at all. The company must have filed for the patents to reserve the design and name in the Indian market.
