Honda has revealed the Activa 125 with a BSVI compliant engine which is equipped with Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system. The brand had teased us by saying that it will be unveiling a two-wheeler on 12th June and said, “Please hold a pin-drop silence” which as we thought and reported, that would be a fuel-injected two-wheeler as the brand is known to produce one of the world’s most refined and silent fuel-injected motors.

The all-new Activa 125 is India’s first BSVI compliant scooter and the second scooter in the country to get Fuel Injection system. The scooter features LED headlamps with new LED position lamps, front apron mounted turn signal lights, with a chrome element, and a black applique above the headlamps. The new console is a digital-analogue unit which shows the range, average fuel efficiency and real-time fuel efficiency and more. The scooter gets a dual function switch mounted besides the ignition keyhole, the dual function switch is used to access the under seat luggage space and an external fuel lid. The Activa 125 also gets a front glove box for extra storage.

The Activa 125 gets an idle start/stop system which uses the scooters speedometer sensor which sends a signal to the scooters Engine Control Unit and when the ECU registers the speed of 0-kmph it turns the engine off after 3 seconds and when the throttle is opened the ECU receives the signal and starts the scooter again. The system is switchable and it can be turned On or Off.

The Honda Activa 125 is powered by a BSVI compliant 125 cc, single cylinder, air/fan-cooled engine which produces 8.4 BHP of power at 6,500 rpm and 10.54 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm coupled to a CVT gearbox. The fuel delivery is through, Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection System (PGM-FI) and the scooter also features Honda’s Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) tech which improves combustion efficiency.

The Honda Activa 125 also gets a 6-year warranty (3-years standard and 3-years optional extended warranty which is the best in the segment.

The BSVI compliant Honda Activa 125 will go on sale by September 2019.
