21,000 sold & 2.5 lakh two-wheelers serviced by Honda in May 2020

Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India LTD has announced that the brand has sold 21,000 units of Honda 2Wheelers since the brand reopened of the dealerships and the brand is further building up the momentum of its retail sales. The brand has also taken this opportunity to announce that over 2.5 lakhs customers have serviced their Honda 2Wheelers at authorized Honda workshops across India. 

Adhering to Govt. guidelines Honda has reopened 45% dealerships and 30% touchpoints out of its total network and the brand has introduced ‘Dealership Operations Resumption Manual’, ensuring all their readiness in terms of processes and infrastructure. The brand will be operating under strict safety advisories for social distancing norms and safety policies to protect its customers, staff and dealer partners. 

Honda has also announced that the brand has introduced new customer-centric financial schemes for easy acquisition of Honda two-wheelers which includes up to 100% loan to value, low down payment and savings up to INR 12,000 depending on loan amount, tenure and fitment of the customer. Additionally, customer can now also choose to buy Honda two-wheelers on EMI from a range of 20+ credit and debit cards. 

In related news, Honda 2Wheelers India has announced that the brand has successfully transitioned to BS6 emission compliance and now comprises of six two-wheelers in its BS6 compliant line-up which includes the Activa 6G, Activa 125, Dio BS6, Shine, SP125 and Unicorn. 

The new line-up is laced with the brand’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-Fi) which was first introduced to the world by Honda in 1982. Additionally, the new BS6 two-wheelers are also offered with new technology such as Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology which integrates a new AC Generator (ACG) starter motor and new technologies that reduce frictional losses in the moving parts of the engine making the motor more efficient and smooth. 

The brand has also upgraded its Superbikes portfolio with the launch of the new BS6 compliant Honda Africa Twin adventure sports and also updated the Honda Goldwing with new updates to its infotainment system which is expected to roll-out in India soon.
