The design and development of the Hero Xpulse 200 is completely in-house and took place at the brand’s research and development centre called the Center of Innovation and Technology (CIT) which is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Design & Styling

The Xpulse 200’s design and styling redefine the 200cc segment with its enduro stance, round LED headlamps, a small flyscreen, high-mounted front fender, knuckle guards, a forward-positioned fuel tank, long bench seat, pillion grab rail that integrates with the tail rack, high-mounted exhaust pipe, long-travel suspension, a strong and durable metallic bashplate, 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke-wire rims shod in dual-purpose tyres and disc brakes on both the ends.

Powertrain

Powering the Hero Xpulse is a BS6 emission-compliant 200cc single-cylinder, SOHC engine with an oil-cooler for better thermodynamic efficiency. The Xpulse 200 gets an advanced Fuel-Injection system with 14 sensor Xsens technology that helps produce 18.08 PS @ 8500 RPM and torque of 16.45 Nm @ 6500 RPM. The engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch. The bike comes with a 37mm diameter long-travel front suspension that offers 190 mm of wheel travel and a 10-step adjustable rear monoshock. The lightweight all-terrain motorcycle tips the scales at just 157 kg and offers a generous 220mm of ground clearance.
