Hero Motocorp has launched the popular commuter motorcycle Splendor+ with a BS6 compliant engine. The new Splendor+ BS6 model will come in three variants with a starting price of INR 59,600 ex-showroom, Delhi. The BS6 Splendor+ is completely designed and developed at the brand’s Research and Development facility – the Center of Innovation and Technology (CIT) located in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The Hero Motocorp Splendor+ BS6 features a square headlight with a body coloured flyscreen-like garnish, body-coloured mudguards, 18-inch alloy wheels in silver finish, high-mounted ergonomic handlebar finished in chrome, fuel tank with graphics, chrome-finished exhaust heat shield, chrome grab rail with an integrated luggage rack, an ergonomic seat etc.
The updated Splendor+ is powered by a BS6 compliant 100cc 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC engine with Programmed Fuel Injection and ‘X-Sens Technology’ that produces 7.91 bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm mated to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Other mechanical hardware includes a tubular double cradle type chassis that rides on telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers on the front and swingarm-mounted 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber. The Splendor+ BS6 gets internally expanding 130mm shoe type drum brakes on both the front and rear wheel. In terms of its dimensions, the Splendor+ measures in at 2000mm in length, 720mm in width, 1040mm in height with a wheelbase of 1230mm and a ground clearance of 159mm. The bike comes with a 10.5-litre fuel tank with 1.1-litre of usable fuel reserve. The Splendor+ has a kerb weight of 109 kg (Kick) and 113 (Sef Start) with a maximum payload weight of 130 kg.
The new Splendor+ BS6 is offered in three variants – Kick Start with Alloy Wheels, Self Start with Alloy Wheels and Self Start with Alloy Wheels and i3S.
The new BS6 model comes with a slightly premium price tag given in the table below:-

The Splendor+ BS6 comes in Solid Black with Purple, Grey, Red options and with a Red-Black-Purple palette and a new paint finish called Ebony Grey with Green.
