Hero MotoCorp is working on a new Karizma motorcycle set to launch in 2025. The company has filed a patent for a new model, sparking speculation that it could be the much-anticipated Karizma 421.
New Karizma: What to Expect?
Hero MotoCorp, known for its budget commuter motorcycles. In the premium segment too, the Mavrick 440 is doing quite well. The new Karizma model is expected to feature a 421cc engine, offering around 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. This engine is likely to be liquid-cooled, providing high performance and efficiency.
The design of the new Karizma is a mix of sporty and cruiser elements. It features a semi-faired design, USD forks, and a single-disc brake setup at both ends. The bike also has a tall handlebar for an upright riding stance and a sophisticated single-seat rear cowl for a sporty look.
Launch Timeline and Competition
Hero MotoCorp showcased the Karizma XMR 250 and Xtreme 250R at the EICMA 2024 in Milan, hinting at its focus on premium motorcycles. The new Karizma model is expected to rival bikes like the Royal Enfield Guerilla 450, KTM Duke 390, and Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z. The sub-500 cc segment is gaining a lot of popularity as motorcycles is this segment hit the sweet spot between performance, efficiency and affordability. For Hero, this will be their second motorcycle in the 400 cc segment.
The launch of the new motorcycle is part of Hero MotoCorp’s strategy to expand its premium offerings. The company aims to tap into the growing demand for high-performance motorcycles in India. The new Karizma model is expected to be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi.
