Hero MotoCorp announces its partnership with Gurugram District Administration to help set up a 100-bed Covid-19 care centre. This comes under Hero MotoCorp’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform ‘Hero We Care’. The second wave of Covid-19 has completely disrupted the country’s healthcare system.
Hero MotoCorp mentioned that they are incredibly proud to work with the Gurugram district administration to help build this Covid-19 Care Centre. The rising number of cases is causing a shortage of essential healthcare facilities like oxygen, essential respiratory equipment and more. Thus, this Covid-19 Care Centre aims to serve a lot more patients in the area more effectively. The Gurugram district administration also mentioned how this is a perfect example of a public-private partnership.
Hero MotoCorp’s Covid-19 Relief Measures
The world’s largest motorcycle makers had announced a host of measures to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Hero MotoCorp mentioned its partnership with Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kankhan at Haridwar, to enhance their healthcare system to fight Covid-19. To help fulfil the shortage of oxygen cylinders, Hero MotoCorp is making efforts to procure them for some hospitals in Delhi and Haryana. Hero MotoCorp is also extending its support to Covid-19 hospitals in the most affected states like Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The company also provides its motorcycles and scooters for health and medical staff for their safe and personal commute.

The company had stopped all its manufacturing plants temporarily since April 22 to help curb the spread of the virus. Recently, Hero MotoCorp announced the reopening of its manufacturing plants which had been put on a temporary halt. The operations at the plant will resume in a staggered manner adhering to all the Covid-19 guidelines.
The motorsport arm of the brand, Hero MotoSports, ended the Prologue Stage of the Andalucia Rally on a winning note. This is a crucial win for the team, which will inspire them to positively impact the upcoming rounds.
