Hero MotoCorp sold 4.54 lakh Motorcycles & Scooters in July 2021

Hero MotoCorp releases its sales report for July 2021. The company sold a total of 4.54 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in the given period. The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer also mentioned that most of its dealerships are now operational. With the gradual unlocking phase in progress, the automotive sector is finally witnessing a positive slope in the demand curve. Hero MotoCorp will remain vigilant of the Covid-19 situation and monitor it closely. The two-wheeler manufacturer will expect to carry this demand into the festive season which is just around the corner.

Detailed Sales Analysis

In the motorcycle segment, Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 4,24,126 units in July 2021, as against 4,84,260 units in July 2020. Similarly, in the scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp sold 30,272 scooters in July 2021, meanwhile, for July 2020 the figure stood at 35,844 units. Combining both segments, Hero MotoCorp sold close to 4,54,398 units in July 2021 and, the figure for July 2020 was 5,20,104 units. In international business, Hero MotoCorp exported 25,190 units for July 2021 as against, 7,563 units for July 2020. In the domestic market, the company sold close to 4,29,208 units. Meanwhile, the figure for the same period last year was 5,12,541 units.

Key Highlights

Hero MotoCorp launched two new products in the 125cc segment. This includes Glamour in ‘Xtec’ avatar and the new Maestro Edge 125 with connected tech features. Hero has listed the new Glamour at an ex-showroom price start at INR 78,900, meanwhile, the new Maestro Edge retails at INR 72,250 (ex-showroom).  To maintain a healthy global business aspiration,  Hero MotoCorp has commenced retail sales in Mexico. The company will offer the market a diverse range of products. This includes  Eco 150 Cargo, Eco 150 TR, Xpulse 200T, Xpulse 200, Hunk 160R, Hunk 190, Hunk 150, Ignitor 125, and the Dash 125 scooter. In terms of extending its support for Covid-19, Hero MotoCorp has built an ICU and a 50-bed Covid Ward at the Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi.
