Hero MotoCorp reveals Xtreme 1.R Concept

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Last week at the EICMA show in Milan, Hero MotoCorp revealed the Xtreme 1.R motorcycle. This is a concept motorcycle and we expect a premium sporty commuter motorcycle based on this to come to India next year. Hero MotoCorp will be launching such a motorcycle based on the Xtreme 1.R for the urban youth. The bike will be coming up with a sporty riding stance and will be a lot more agile and responsive.

The Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 1.R will have a kerb weight of less than 140 kg, which will make it a very zippy motorcycle. The bike will come with LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, full digital speedometer cluster, wide handlebar, multi-spoke alloy wheel at the front and a fully covered rear wheel, petal disc brakes, USD front forks, rear monoshock, aero fins on the rear pillion, engine underbelly cowl, short arrow end can and a uniquely positioned GoPro Session camera over the tail lamp.

The new concept bike, the Xtreme 1.R will be based on the ‘X’ platform which has already been used on the Xtreme 200R, Xtreme 200S, Xpulse 200 & Xpulse 200T. This bike will be positioned as a performance oriented motorcycle compared to its own siblings.

In the looks department, the bike does look good enough as a modern premium commuter motorcycle. There will also be enough space to position your knees when riding hard.
