Hero MotoCorp Mavrick 440 Review

Hero MotoCorp new flagship, the Mavrick 440 is now available to order. The Hero Mavrick 440 comes with a starting price of INR 1.99 lakh ex-showroom, while the top spec model goes up to INR 2.24 lakh ex-showroom. In addition to this, Hero MotoCorp is also offering accessories and merchandise worth INR 10,000 to customers who order the Mavrick 440 before 15th March 2024. Deliveries of the Hero Mavrick 440 are set to commence from April 2024.

We got to test the Mavrick in the beautiful Rann of Kutch, so we can bring you a comprehensive review of the machine. Our route took us from the city of Bhuj to the Tent City in the White Desert, and to Dhola Vira via the Road Through Heaven, throwing at us different terrains and landscapes. Hero MotoCorp Mavrick 440 – Technical Specifications

The Hero MotoCorp Mavrick 440 comes with a 440cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled fuel-injected 2-valve SOHC engine. The Mavrick 440 produces 27 PS of power and 36 Nm of torque. The engine claims to produce 90% of its torque from 2000 rpms, and the brand has thus named the engine ‘TorX’. The motor comes with a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.

The Hero Mavrick 440 comes with a Trellis frame. The bike comes with 43 mm telescopic right side up fork on the front. The rear comes with a 7-step pre-load adjustable twin shock absorbers. The Mavrick 440 offers 130 mm of wheel travel on both ends as well as 175 mm of ground clearance. Furthermore, the motorcycle also offers a commanding saddle height of 803 mm and weighs 187 kgs at the kerb.

 

Hero Mavrick 440 – Ergonomics

The Hero Mavrick 440 comes with a modern-roadster design and features a comfortable rider’s triangle. The brand has thoughtfully positioned the footpegs which are not rear set nor too forward, offering a comfortable seating position. The handlebar position, seat and footpegs come together offering a comfortable ride on both city commutes as well as long highway rides. The open-chested handlebar also offers comfort for the wrist while reducing vibrations. The seats are also sculpted using 60mm thick foam comfortable for both rider and pillion.

Hero Mavrick 440 – Features

The Hero Mavrick 440 comes with features such as All-LED lighting and fully digital instruments cluster. The digital cluster offers information such as Distance to Empty, Real Time Mileage, Incoming Call Alert and Turn-by-Turn Navigation. The motorcycle also gets Auxiliary lamps as accessory. Hero also offers a small fly screen, bar-end mirrors, saddle bags and stays as well as a tank bag as optional accessory. 

The motorcycle also comes with 17-inch wheels, offering sporty handling characteristics. 17-inch wheels also offer ease of maintenance of the tyres. The size is also easily available in India, offering the customer a wider choice during replacement. The Mavrick 440 comes with Spoke Wheels on the Base model and Alloy wheels with tubeless tyres on the Mid and Top trims.
