Hero MotoCorp Maestro Edge 110 gets a new Scarlet Red colour

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Hero has launched a new colour for its popular Maestro Edge offering. Keeping in mind the festive season, Hero MotoCorp aims to boost its sales figure. Other than the new colour edition, there’s no change both mechanically and aesthetically. The new colour called Scarlet Red is a mixture of three colours. The maximum of the front part is red in colour, meanwhile, the rear section gets a mixture of red, blue and grey highlights. Hero expects this colour to attract more youth customers to join the brand. Alongside this, the Maestro Edge is available in seven other colour options.

Engine And Mechanicals

Maestro gets a BS6 compliant air-cooled 110.9cc engine that makes 8 BHP and 8.75 Nm of torque. Braking power comes from a drum set up both for the front and rear for the VX trim. Meanwhile, the ZX trim gets a front disc and a drum setup at the rear. The combined braking system adds to more safety in emergency braking conditions. Fuel capacity of 5 litres is adequate for intracity commutes. Hero is using alloy wheels for both the front and the rear, which also adds to the overall outlook of the scooter.

Features List

Being a city commuter, Maestro comes with all the basic and necessary features for 2021 standards. The feature list includes a USB charging port, an under-seat storage lamp, engine immobiliser, an external fuel lid, an LED taillamp, and a linked braking system. The instrument cluster gets an integrated digital display that provides important riding data. In terms of practicality, Maestro scores well in the storage compartment department. The under-seat has a storage capacity of 22 litres, and the scooter also gets a front storage box.

Price And Competition

With the growing popularity of scooters in the Indian market, Maestro does have a healthy number of rivals to compete with. This includes the likes of Honda Activa 6G, Suzuki Access 125, and the TVS Jupiter. Hero has put on a sticker price of INR 65,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the VX trim. Meanwhile, the ZX trim retails at INR 66,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
