Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Xtreme 250R at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, attracting significant attention from motorcycle enthusiasts and industry experts alike. Priced at INR 1,79,900 (ex-showroom), this motorcycle marks Hero’s strategic entry into the competitive 250cc segment.
Xtreme 250R – Features and Specs
The Xtreme 250R features a robust 250cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine. It delivers 30 horsepower and 25 Nm of torque, which allows for a top speed of 130 km/h. The bike accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in a swift 3.25 seconds, ensuring a thrilling ride for speed aficionados. The motorcycle comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and 43mm upside-down forks that enhance its stability and handling, making it ideal for both city commutes and highway rides.
In terms of design, the Xtreme 250R boasts a sleek and aggressive look. It features a low-slung headlamp, a sculpted fuel tank, and an upswept tail section, which together create a dynamic and sporty aesthetic. Available in striking black and red color options, the motorcycle is designed to stand out. The bike also features full LED lighting, including the headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators, providing superior visibility and modern appeal.
Safety and Convenience
Safety and connectivity are prioritized with features such as dual-channel ABS, ensuring better control and braking efficiency. The inclusion of Hero Connect 2.0 offers seamless connectivity options, allowing riders to stay connected with their bike through their smartphones. This feature provides real-time information about the bike’s status, navigation assistance, and more, enhancing the overall riding experience.
Hero MotoCorp has designed the Xtreme 250R on a steel-trellis frame, which not only ensures durability but also contributes to the bike’s agility and performance. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, providing excellent grip and stability on various terrains. The seating position is ergonomically designed to ensure rider comfort during long journeys.
The launch of the Xtreme 250R is part of Hero MotoCorp’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the premium motorcycle segment. The company plans to start bookings in February 2025, with deliveries beginning in March 2025, through its extensive dealer network across the country.
