Hero MotoCorp launches Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition at INR 1,08,750

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition in the Indian market at the price of INR 1.09 lakh ex-showroom. The Hero Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition motorcycle is now available at Hero MotoCorp showrooms and is available with the INR 5,000 exchange/loyalty benefit in select states. The Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition commemorates the brand’s significant milestone of 100 Million (10 Crores) units in cumulative production. The 100 Millionth motorcycle to roll out of the production line was the Hero Xtreme 160R.

100 Million Edition

At an event held in the brand’s Gurugram manufacturing facility, the Chairman and CEO of Hero MotoCorp Dr Pawan Munjal unveiled six celebration edition models including the Hero Xtreme 160R that has now gone on sale. The 100 Million Edition receives a special dual-tone with a unique red and white finish that distinguishes the motorcycle from the standard. The red and white theme starts from the headlamp shrouds continues to the muscular fuel tank and end at the sharp tail sections.

Features

The features on the 100 Million Edition remain similar to the standard motorcycle and it continues with features such as Droid LED headlamps and taillamps, LED indicators, LED daytime running lights, inverted LCD instruments cluster, side stand cut-off switch, angular tank cowling, chiselled fuel tank, scooped seats, straight handlebars, black-out engine finish and a short end can exhaust.

Powertrain & Mechanicals

Powering the Hero Xtreme 160R is a BS6 emission-compliant air-cooled 160cc single-cylinder engine with XSens technology and an Electronic Fuel Injection system that makes 15 BHP of power and 14 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch and the bike is capable of accelerating from 0-60 kmph in just 4.7 seconds. Housing the engine is a lightweight rigid diamond frame that rides on 37mm conventional telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock suspension. The motorcycle gets its stopping power from a single 276mm petal front disc and a 220mm rear petal disc. The Hero Xtreme 160R tips the scales at 138.5 kg at the kerb.
