Hero MotoCorp launches Vida V1 electric scooter in India at INR 1.45 lakh

The wait is finally over. Hero has now officially unveiled its much-awaited Vida V1 electric scooter. There are a total of two variants to choose from, Plus and Pro variants, priced at INR 1.45 lakh and INR 1.59 lakh, respectively. As is the case with other electric scooters, the V1 Plus and V1 Pro differ in terms of range as well as performance.

Hero Vida V1 What Is It?

The Vida V1 Plus comes with a claimed range of 143km. In terms of performance, the scooter can go from 0-40 in 3.4sec. Talking of the V1 Pro, Vida has claimed a range of 165km and 0-40kph timing of 3.2sec. Both variants max out with a top speed of 80kmph. The Plus and Pro also get fast charging options. Thus one can charge the scooters from 0-80 percent in just 65 minutes.

VIDA V1 features a high-voltage Li-Ion-based battery pack with Nickel and Manganese Cobalt. The net energy content is 3.94 kWh in VIDA V1 Pro and the VIDA V1 Plus has a net energy content of 3.44 kWh. Hero is offering a standard five-year warranty for 50,000 kms for the scooters. Meanwhile, for the batteries, we get a warranty valid for three years or up to 30,000 kilometers.

Hero Vida V1 Key Features

One of the key inclusions of the Vida V1 scooter is swappable batteries. This means one can get a fully charged unit in a matter of minutes. In terms of features, the Vida V1 e-scooters get all the necessary as per 2022 standards. This includes electronic features such as a 7.0-inch TFT touchscreen dash, keyless operations, and riding modes. There’s also a proprietary app through which one can pair their phone to it. Another unique feature of the Vida is the limp home feature. With this, VIDA V1 offers the rider the ability to drive at 10kmph for about 8 kilometers to a location of choice, in case the SOC drops below a predefined limit.
