Hero Motocorp has launched the BS6 emission compliant Maestro Edge 125 scooter at the price of INR 67,950. The updated model of the Maestro Edge 125 comes in two variants along with a new iridescent paint option.
The Hero Motocorp Maestro Edge 125 is powered by a BS6 compliant 125cc Air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder OHC engine equipped with Programmed Fuel Injection with X-Sens technology. The engine produces 9 bhp of power and 10.4 Nm of torque mated to a Variomatic drive (automatic) with dry centrifugal clutch. The exterior dimensions of the Maestro Edge 125 measures 1843mm in length, 718mm in width, 1188mm in height with a wheelbase of 1261mm and 155mm of ground clearance. The Maestro Edge 125 gets a fuel tank capacity of 5-litres and its kerb weight is 110 kg.
The Hero Motocorp Maestro Edge 125 features an LED daytime running light on its front fascia, a halogen headlamp with Auto Headlamp On (AHO) function, digital-analogue combination instrument console with trip and service reminder, side stand indicator, front luggage hook, external fuel filler, an under-seat luggage compartment with boot light and mobile charging port, tubeless tyres, ergonomic seats with a textured finish, alloy wheels, a combination key-lock etc.
In terms of its mechanical hardware, Hero Motocorp Maestro Edge 125 comes with a telescopic front suspension, single hydraulic type coil spring suspension on the rear, an optional 190mm disc brake on the front and 130mm internally expanding shoe type drum brake on the rear.
