Hero MotoCorp Super Splendor Canvas Black Edition – Highlights
As the name suggests, Hero made this edition as an open canvas. The bike sports no graphics whatsoever except for stickers for its name and brand logos. Hero says this enables customers to express their individual styles through custom graphics. For the Canvas Black Edition, Hero has also added a new Digi Analogue Cluster, an integrated USB charger and a side-stand engine cut-off. Apart from these changes, the model remains mechanically the same.
Powering the new Super Splendor Canvas is a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor. It has a peak output of 10.7 BHP at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine also gets a programmed fuel injection system. There is also a new 5-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch. Hero claims it offers 13 per cent better fuel efficiency. According to the company, it will deliver up to 68 kmpl.
The front of the bike uses telescopic hydraulic forks, and the rear uses twin 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers. The model is available in a drum brake as well as a disc brake variant. Furthermore, the disc brake variant also gets Combi Braking System (CBS) for better safety.
