Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2022 Splendor+ XTEC in India at INR 72,900 ex-showroom. The new model updates the iconic Splendor and helps it stay relevant in the market. The Splendor is one of the most popular and best-selling motorcycles in India. The model has been an icon for almost three decades. With the new model, Hero MotoCorp wants the model’s success story to continue. For this, the company has given the Splendor+ XTEC a host of updates.
Hero MotoCorp Splendor+ XTEC – What’s New?
The Splendor+ XTEC will now come with four new colour options. These new colour options are – Canvas Black, Sparkling Beta Blue, Tornado Grey and Pearl White. The new colours also sport new graphics.
The front of the bike gets a LED High-Intensity Position Lamp (HIPL), and the new graphics make it easily identifiable as the new model. The unconventional offset LED strip also gives the iconic front end a new look.
However, the main highlight of the update is the segment-first full digital instrument console. Additionally, the instrument console also supports Bluetooth connectivity. The new connectivity option enables notifications for incoming or missed call alerts and new message alerts. The instrument console also features two trip meters, a low fuel indicator and the Real-Time Mileage Indicator (RTMI).
As for safety, the Splendor+ XTEC now gets a side-stand visual indicator. In addition to this, it also features a side-stand engine cut-off. The Splendor+ XTEC also features a bank angle sensor. Thanks to this sensor, the motorcycle cuts off the engine during a fall.
Hero MotoCorp Splendor+ XTEC – Technical Specifications
Powering the Splendor+ XTEC is a 97.2cc BS6 compliant single-cylinder engine. The engine’s output is 7.9 BHP at 7000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The model balances usable power and comfort. Furthermore, it gets the company’s patented i3S technology for higher fuel economy.
