Hero MotoCorp launches XPulse Rally Kit priced at INR 38,000

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero XPulse Rally Kit for the XPulse 200 available as a complete kit priced at INR 38,000. The Hero XPulse Rally kit will be available at select Hero dealerships from March 2020 onwards. The Hero XPulse Rally Kit has been developed using the brand’s experience in top motorcycle rallies including the coveted Dakar Rally and now enthusiast and aspiring racers alike can benefit from the Rally Kit.

The Hero XPulse Rally Kit comprises of a ‘Flat Bench’ seat, handlebar risers, an extended gear lever to accommodate rally-style boots, fully adjustable telescopic front fork with 250mm of stroke and a ten-step fully adjustable rear Mono Shock with 220mm of stroke. The kit also includes knobby off-road tyres from Maxxis and long side stand. The ground clearance on the Rally Kit equipped XPulse 200 increases from a stock 220mm to 275mm. 

Powering the XPulse 200 is a 199.6cc single cylinder air cooled, 4 stroke 2 valve OHC engine that produces 18.4 ps of power @ 8000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of torque @ 6500 rpm matched to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch.

In its standard form, the XPulse 200 features a Diamond Type frame that rides on a 37mm telescopic fork with double DU bush that provides 190mm of stroke and a 10 step rider-adjustable Monoshock that provides 170mm of wheel travel. Stopping power comes from a single 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc on the rear equipped with a single-channel ABS. The XPulse 200 gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke-wire rims shod in dual purpose tyres.

In terms of dimensions, the Hero XPulse 200 is 2223mm in length, 850mm in width, 1257mm in height with a wheelbase of 1412mm and a seat height of 823mm. The XPulse 200 weighs in at 153 kg (kerb weight). 

The Hero XPulse features a full LED headlamp, a clear glass flyscreen, high mounted mudguard, wide handlebars, knuckle protectors, bash plate, upswept exhaust, an LCD instrument console with computer-enabled RideGuide App, connectivity features, turn-by-turn navigation, silver finish grabrail with integrated luggage rack etc.

The Hero XPulse Rally Kit can transform the standard XPulse 200 into a competitive motorcycle which can be used by enthusiasts and aspiring racers to practice and keep their skill-set sharp.
