Hero Electric will deliver 4,000 EVs to BattWheelz Mobility by FY 2022-23

Keeping with the trend, Hero Electric has bagged yet another partnership. The company announced its partnership with BattWheelz Mobility, a Gurugram-based startup. This company deals with last-mile delivery mobility solutions to E-Commerce and Hyper-Local Grocery Companies. This partnership will help in enabling faster EV transition in the country. The last-mile delivery segment is witnessing a significant shift towards electric with Hero Electric being a major player in this segment. As a part of this collaboration, Hero Electric aims to deliver over 4,000 vehicles by FY 2022-23. Hero Electric also mentioned that this partnership will also be beneficial in terms of savings and contribution thus safeguarding the environment.

Demand For Last-Mile Delivery On The Rise

Given the current situation of Covid-19, most of the work is going online. With this, the demand for doorstep is increasing, hence boosting the need for last-mile delivery solutions. With fuel prices rising every day, electric mobility is the perfect alternative. Moreover, these electric vehicles also offer a host of other benefits over traditional ICE vehicles.

First is the cost of ownership,  electric vehicles that do not have any moving parts are much cheaper to maintain. Second is the environmental benefit connected with electric vehicles due to zero tailpipe emissions. Thirdly, electric vehicles are also much easier to maintain and run, thus enhancing uptime. Hero Electric has now bagged multiple partnerships to supply electric scooters to enable last-mile delivery solutions. The company is planning to convert about 35 per cent of the sales from the B2B segment in the next 4 years.

Hero Electric Plans For The Future

Currently Hero Electric is the country’s largest electric two-wheeler company and also a major player in the market. With the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country, the company is rapidly expanding its network. Hero Electric outsold its competition through the entire year of 2021. The company has over 4 lakh electric vehicles plying on the Indian roads which is quite a big number. As of now, Hero Electric has over 700 sales and service outlets in the country with more getting added as we write this.
