Hero Electric expands retail network

Hero Electric, the biggest electric vehicle brand in the country has announced further expansion of the dealer network in the central and eastern parts of India. The network expansion will further establish the brand in all essential markets. Hero Electric has recently celebrated the 600+ touch points mark in India and has now extended its network in Guwahati-Assam, Una-Gujarat, Kaithal and Rohtak-Haryana, Baranagar-Madhya Pradesh, Shirwal-Maharashtra and Thenkasi-Tamil Nadu.

The brand also plans to open fifteen new dealerships in cities like Amta-West Bengal, Timarani-Madhya Pradesh, Hazipur-Bihar, Pratapura-Chattisgarh and others. The dealerships will be equipped with the entire range of Hero Electric products available in India and will also be able to provide after-sales service facilities to new and existing customers. The service centres are fully equipped and the highest levels of service is assured by trained professionals.

The Hero Electric portfolio consists of four high-speed series and four low-speed series electric bikes, which are as follows:-

High-Speed Series

  • Optima E5
  • Nyx E5
  • Photon 72V
  • Photon 48V

Low-Speed Series

  • Flash LA
  • Flash LI
  • Optima LA
  • Optima LI

The high-speed series Photon 48V electric scooter is powered by a 1500W Brushless DC hub motor which is connected to a 28Ah lithium-ion battery which provides a range of 80 km in Power mode and 110 km in Eco mode on a single charge and can do a top speed of 45 kmph. The batteries take a charging time of 4 to 5 hours to be fully replenished.

The scooter comes in two colours Red and Silver and features aerodynamic design, remote locking with an anti-theft alarm, telescopic front suspension, a wide seat and disc brakes.

The Flash LA which is the brands entry-level model is powered by a 250W Brushless DC motor with a 20Ah battery which can provide a range of 50 km and can do a top speed of 25 kmph. The battery requires a charging time of 8 hours and no driver’s licence or registration is required to own and ride this bike. It is also available in two colours – Red and Silver.

The Photon 48V is priced at INR 86,490 ex-showroom whereas the Flash LA is priced at INR 39,550 on road.
