Renowned two and three-wheeler motorcycle manufacturer TVS Motor Company has partnered with Sherco for the upcoming 2022 Dakar Rally. Thanks to a continued partnership, the team managed to finish 6th in the standings during the 2021 Dakar Rally. To accelerate its progress, TVS Sherco unveiled their latest motorcycle for the Dakar 2022 called the Sherco 450 SEF Rally.
Based on the Enduro 450 SEF Factory, the team will use 3 of these bikes for the upcoming rally. The TVS Sherco Team has also announced the pilots of the new bike- Lorenzo Santolino, Rui Goncalves, and Harith Noah. However, the team has stated that it will reveal the complete details of the 450 SEF Rally on 28th December.
2022 TVS Sherco 450 SEF Rally: Details
According to sources, the new 2022 450 SEF Rally will utilize the semi-perimeter molybdenum steel frame from the Enduro 450. The new 450 SEF Rally will use the same 450cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke motor but in a different state of tune. In terms of design, the bike is likely to continue with the iconic blue and high-viz yellow colour scheme.
Along with plenty of decals sprinkled across the bike, such as Motul and Akrapovic, it will also sport a faired-up beak. To enhance its rally performance, the new 450 SEF Rally will sport a variety of different components. These include the BOS MAC racing suspension, an Akrapovic racing exhaust system, flared-up mudguards, and an increased ride height.

By partnering with what3words, TVS has integrated an innovative and unique navigation system into its TVS Connect App for riders. Riders from India can use three simple words to share and navigate themselves to any location or find fellow riders.
TVS is officially the first Indian two-wheeler company to introduce and integrate the what3words navigation system for its Indian customers. The main goal of TVS Motor Company is to help riders deliver or find locations accurately with the new system. The motorcycle manufacturer has promised its customers that navigation with the system is easy, hassle-free, and efficient on time-saving.
