Have a look at Maruti Suzuki Fronx’s Sigma variant

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Maruti Suzuki added two new models at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2023. Besides the 5-door Jimny, which caught the most attention, Maruti also showcased the Fronx compact SUV.

Maruti Suzuki has already started accepting bookings for the Fronx. The compact SUV is available in five trims. These include Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha. We have had enough photos of the top-spec Fronx at the Auto Expo. But now we have some footage and shots of the base ‘Sigma’ trim.

What Is The Fronx Base Trim Like?

As the images show, the Fronx Sigma gets steel wheels, black door handles and wing mirrors. Interestingly enough, wheel covers are a part of the equipment list. On the inside, the Fronx Sigma gets a dual-tone with a black and blue theme. It does get essentials like power windows, tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, and even automatic climate control. However, it misses out on a factory-fitted stereo, and the steering wheel lacks controls.

Other available equipment includes a 60:40 split folding rear seat, keyless entry and go, and fabric seat upholstery. Safety is taken care of with features like rear parking sensors, hill-hold assist, dual airbags and ESP. It also gets a rear defogger but no rear wash-wipe.

Features like a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, steering-mounted controls, voice assistant and electrically adjustable wing mirrors are on offer from the Delta variant onwards.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Powertrain Options

The Maruti Fronx uses the Heartect platform. The compact SUV is available in two engine options. These include a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 99 BHP and 147 Nm and a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 89 BHP and 113 Nm. Customers will get a choice of a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic and an AMT gearbox option to choose from.
