The upcoming Harley-Davidson X440 pictures have been released by the bike maker. These are the first detailed images of the new motorcycle. The Harley X440 is expected to be priced around INR 3,00,000 in the Indian market, making it the most economical Harley-Davidson on sale.
Harley-Davidson X440 : More Details
The new X440 comes with a new-retro styling. It gets a circular LED headlamp, single pod instrument cluster and a tear drop shaped fuel tank. Other details include a flat handlebar, forward-set footpegs and a single-sided exhaust. The Harley X440 also comes with a single piece seat.
Based on a tubular frame chassis, the Harley-Davidson X440 gets upside-down front forks along with dual shock absorbers at the back. The Milwaukee-based manufacturer has equipped the bike with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. Both ends get disc brakes with dual channel ABS.
Back in October 2020, Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson announced their partnership for the Indian market. Under this, Hero will be manufacturing and selling a bunch of motorcycles under the Harley brand name. The Indian company will also take care of all the service and parts for the Harley-Davidson range of motorcycles.
Engine of the new Harley-Davidson X440
From the name, we can say that this Harley-Davidson will come with a 440cc single cylinder engine. This is quite unusual as a typical Harley is known for bigger capacity engines. That said, the engine could be more powerful than the rival Royal Enfield’s 350cc unit. We will have to await more details from the company, but the bike comes with a chain drive system to drive the rear wheel.
The Harley X440 could come with a 6-speed gearbox as well. Safety features could include side-stand engine cut-off amongst others.

Harley-Davidson plans to launch this new bike in partnership with Hero MotoCorp on 4th July 2023.
