Ford Model e is a separate division for EVs

Ford’s electric vehicle range will come under a new division of Ford Motor Company, called Ford E. As per recent reports, Ford will soon have three divisions that cater to three different types of vehicles. The internal combustion engine, mostly private vehicles, will come under Ford Blue. Meanwhile, the commercial range of vehicles will be sold under Ford Pro. And as mentioned, Ford E will cater to the ever-evolving EV segment. This decision was taken after witnessing the growth of smaller teams that developed all-electric Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning.

Long Term Aim Of Ford E

With the growing demand for electric vehicles across the country, Ford has some big plans for the future. This new division will take on all the responsibilities to help Ford achieve its targets. Moreover, Ford E will also encourage rapid development and innovation taking place in this segment. Robust software is becoming an integral part of the modern automotive system. With the concept of ‘Car as Service’ gaining traction, carmakers are now more inclined to boost their digital services. Ford E will play a pivotal role in this area, thus assisting to build a brand new image of the company in this new generation. The long terms target of Ford is to produce 2 million BEV by 2026.

Ford’s truck options are quite popular in the worldwide market. Ford Blue’s main focus of development will hover around these trucks, making them even more attractive and appealing.
