Force Motors Trax Toofan to be updated soon

Force Motors Trax Toofan has been spotted testing near Pune and a few images of the MPV has surfaced on the internet which suggests that the Trax Toofan is due to get a new update. According to the spied images, the new Trax Toofan gets refreshed tail lamps. The front of the MPV is also expected to get a slight redesign but as of now, the details are unavailable and the spied vehicle was camouflaged in that area. Other than that, the MPV is expected to remain the same.

The current Trax Toofan comes with a boxy design that has a black grille and squared off headlights, the bonnet design is reminiscent of the old Mercedes G Wagon, with a black bumper in the front. The side profile of the MPV is long and suggestive of a passenger carrier with 4 rows of windows, black plastic cladding on the wheel arches and body decals. The interior of the Trax Toofan claims to have the best space in its class and the MPV can seat 12 people including the driver. Rest of the interior remains minimal and functional by design.

The engine on the Trax Toofan is a BSIV compliant, 1,947cc, 3-cylinder, common rail diesel engine that produces 67 Hp of power and 175 Nm of torque coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The suspension on the MPV is a independent front suspension with solid torsion bar and hydraulic shock absorbers with anti-roll bar. The rear gets a two-step leaf spring suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers. The MPV gets mechanical steering with an option of a power steering. The Trax Toofan gets disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear and it is equipped with a hydraulic, dual-circuit vacuum-assisted system with ABS and EBD.

The new vehicle that was spotted testing may get new safety features to conform with the new automotive industry standards which will be enforced from 1st of July 2019. The new safety mandate suggests driver and passenger seat belt reminder, reverse parking sensors, driver airbag, ABS brakes and an over speed reminder.
