Force is planning to introduce a new 5-door model of the Gurkha SUV in the Indian market. The brand is currently running evaluation tests on the 5-door Gurkha evident from the images that have emerged on the internet. The company recently revamped the Gurkha SUV and launched the 3-door model with new exteriors and interiors. The 5-door model will be based on the 3-door Gurkha but will come with a longer wheelbase and an extended overall length. Speculation is that the wheelbase on the 5-door model is likely to be nearly 400mm longer than the standard three-door model.

According to the spy shots, the test mule offers three-row of seats in a 2+2+2 configuration. Interestingly, reports suggest that the new Force Gurkha 5-door comes with captain seats in both the 2nd and 3rd row. This means that the 5-door Gurkha will offer safe and spacious seating for 6, including the driver. The brand is likely to offer this model on the higher-spec trim. Force is also likely to offer a bench seat with a 2+2+3 configuration.

The Force Gurkha 5-door is likely to come with the same front fascia as the 3-door model. The brand will also offer LED headlamps with peripheral LED DRLs, a snorkel, tailgate-mounted spare wheel and options luggage rack. The Gurkha is also likely to come with features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instruments, power windows, air-conditioning with AC vents in the 2nd and 3rd row, as well as large windows on the third row to let in a large amount of light. The Gurkha is also likely to come with safety features such as dual airbags, parking sensors, ABS, EBD and remote locking.
Force Gurkha – 5-door Powertrain
Powering the Gurkha 5-door is likely to be a Mercedes-Benz derivedĀ 2.6-litre CRCD diesel engine. The engine produces 91 Hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The oil motor is likely to come with a 4×4 drivetrain paired to a G28 5-speed manual synchromesh transmission and locking differentials.
