First La Maison Citroën showroom for India is in Ahmedabad

Citroen will enter the Indian market with the launch of its C5 Aircross SUV which is scheduled on 1st February. In fact, it has also announced the launch of its ‘La Maison Citroen’ in Ahmedabad, a specially designed Citroen showroom which will encompass all the high tech elements to provide a warm and welcoming experience to its customers. Citroen says that this ‘La Maison Citroen’ showroom which means ‘Home of Citroen’ is first of its kind in India and will look to completely disrupt the traditional showroom set-ups. La Maison Citroen is based on 5 principles, Attract, Welcome, Display, Configure and Sell.

There are a total of 100 such ‘La Maison Citroen’ spread in 100 locations across the world of which the first had come up in Paris in 2017. The main aim of this showroom is to attract more customers and give them a very engaging and enriching car buying feel which they would have never experienced in India before. The showroom spread across an area of 4000 sq ft is located on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway which is one of the posh areas in Ahmedabad and that area is already a hub for major car showrooms. Citroen has set up the interiors of the showroom to deliver a technologically rich and informative experience along with few elements which will reflect the global standards of Citroen being a premium car brand. A giant screen on the facade will grab the attention of the passers-by and compel them to walk inside the showroom.

The debut of C5 Aircross SUV in India was scheduled to be launched in 2019 but got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. C5 Aircross SUV will come to India via the CKD route and will be assembled in the joint production facility of the PSA-CK Birla located in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. C5 Aircross is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine and is likely to get an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The SUV will be positioned as a luxury mid-size SUV in the INR 25-30 lakh price bracket and will lock its horn with Jeep Compass, Volkswagen T-Roc, Skoda Karoq and more.
