Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione comes to India

Fiat has revealed the upcoming Abarth 595 Competizione hot-hatch at the 2014 Autocar Performance Show. Expected to hit the streets in a couple of weeks time, this is the first Abarth model by Fiat in India. The car will be brought to India via the CBU route.

Expected launch price is in the range of Rs. 25 – 30 lakh.

Based on the Fiat 500, and tweaked to churn out more performance and driving dynamics, the Abarth 595 Competizione will fight against the likes of the Mini Cooper, BMW 1-Series & Mercedes-Benz A-Class.

The Abarth 595 Competizione is powered by a 1.4L, MultiAir, turbocharged petrol motor producing 160 PS of power @ 5,500 RPM and 201 Nm of torque @ 2,750 RPM in normal mode which can be bumped up to 230 Nm when driving in sports mode. The hot-hatch is mated to an AMT gearbox with Manual Override system. The car also features a torque transfer control (TTC) system and an electronic slip differential.
