Reports on the internet suggest that Ferrari has already zeroed down on potential dealers for the Delhi and Mumbai region.
For the financial capital of India, Mumbai, Ferrari is expected to appoint Navnit Motors as the sole dealer. The dealership location is expected to be somewhere in the Bandra-Kurla Complex region. This new facility will be located in a brand new building which is still under construction. The dealership inauguration is expected to happen by March 2015. Navnit Motors is a known brand in the luxury car segment and deals with BMW, Mini, Land Rover & Rolls Royce in the Mumbai and Delhi region.
For Delhi, the potential dealer is Yadur Kapur. He has been involved in retailing high end cars such as Aston Martin, Lamborghini & Rolls Royce in Delhi.
Apart from setting up dealerships, there is a much bigger hurdle for Ferrari in India. Distressed customer who were previously dealing with the now busted Shreyans dealership need to be focused on. Ferrari needs to first make sure they will help sort out customer complaints of the existing customers who did not have good authorised service centre till date.
