Written by Nizam Shaikh

Electric two-wheeler mobility platform eBikeGo will be launching Muvi e-scooter in the Indian market. The Mumbai-based company will rent out Torrot Muvi electric scooter in India similar to other electric scooters offered on its online platform. According to reports, eBikeGo has acquired rights to manufacture Torrot Muvi electric scooters in the Indian market. This leads us to believe that the Spanish brand will now be available in India at a competitive price, thanks to the localisation of parts.

Also, the company will be eligible to receive various central and state subsidies, that can be further forwarded to customers reducing the prices even more. Reports suggest that eBikeGo aims to acquire around 5% of the electric vehicle market through the Torrot Muvi. Torrot has already sold 30,000 Muvi electric two-wheelers in Europe proving that it is a Go-to-Market ready product.
