Ducati reveals Streetfighter V4 SP top-of-the-range model

Ducati has unveiled the latest flagship, top-spec addition to its Streetfighter range known as the Streetfighter V4 SP. Ducati launched the new Streetfighter V4 SP alongside the new Streetfighter V2 via the 4th episode of its World Premiere series. Similar to its Streetfighter V2 counterpart, the Streetfighter V4 SP utilizes Ducati’s “Fight Formula” with additional “SP” (Sport Production) specifications. Ducati has improved the power-to-weight ratio on the new bike compared to the Streetfighter V4 S. Ducati plans to offer the bike with only one livery option at its dealerships in January 2022.

2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP: Design Details 

Ducati offers the new Streetfighter V4 SP with a dedicated and unique “Winter Test” livery created by Ducati Centro Stile. Inspired by its Corse motorcycles from MotoGP and SBK Championships, the bike sports Matte Black fairings and Matt Carbon rims. Along with Matt Carbon finished winglets, the bike sports bright Red accents and a brushed aluminium fuel tank. Other design elements include the progressive number highlighted on the handlebar and Italian flag colours on the carbon winglets.

2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP: Technical Specifications 

Sporting an overall weight of 196 Kg, the Streetfighter V4 SP is 3 Kg lighter than its Streetfighter V4 S counterpart. The Streetfighter V4 SP features new five split-spoke carbon wheels, which are 1.4 Kg lighter than forged aluminium wheels. Ducati says these wheels reduce inertia by 26% at the front and 46% at the rear for increased agility.

Powering the Streetfighter V4 SP is a 1,103 cc, Desmosedici Stradale, liquid-cooled engine producing 208 PS and 123 Nm. The 6-speed gearbox features ‘Ducati Quick Shift’ technology and an STM-EVO SBK dry clutch with an anti-hopping function. The Streetfighter V4 SP features an aluminium alloy “Front Frame” with 43mm, fully-adjustable, front Ohlins forks with Smart EC 2.0.

At the rear, the bike features a fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension with Smart EC 2.0 and an aluminium single-sided swingarm. The Streetfighter V4 SP sports 330mm, dual front brake discs with 4-piston Brembo callipers and Bosch Cornering ABS for braking performance. On the rear, the bike sports a single 245mm brake disc with a 2-piston calliper and Bosch Cornering ABS.

2022 Streetfighter V4 SP: Features

Ducati offers the Streetfighter V4 SP with a 5-inch TFT display with safety equipment such as riding and power modes. Additionally, the bike showcases electronics such as Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Slide Control, and Engine Brake Control. Ducati also offers auto tire calibration, Ducati Power Launch, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, automatic indicators, and carbon fibre mudguards.
