Ducati Panigale V2 launched in India at INR 16.99 lakh

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Only a month ago, Italian luxury motorcycle brand Ducati India opened pre-launch bookings on the Ducati Panigale V2 in India and now the brand has launched the Ducati Panigale V2 at the price of INR 16.99 lakh ex-showroom, India. The brand has also announced that it will be commencing deliveries on the Ducati Panigale V2 across all Ducati dealerships.

The Ducati Panigale is the brand’s first BS6 emission-compliant motorcycle in the Indian market and is powered by a 955cc Superquadro, L-twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine equipped with a 4-valve per cylinder Desmodromic valve-train, electronic fuel injection system, twin injectors per cylinder and full ride-by-wire elliptical throttle bodies that produce 155 Hp of power and 104 Nm of torque, thanks to the larger injectors working at a different angle which adds 5 Hp and 2 Nm more torque along with improved efficiency due to an optimised snorkel that minimises pressure loss.

The engine is matched to a 6-speed transmission with bi-directional Ducati Quick Shift (DQS EVO) and a hydraulically controlled slipper and self-servo wet multi-plate clutch. The new engine is more compact than the Desmosedici Stradale creating a leaner less intimidating visual appearance as compared to the Panigale V4. The V2 also features a new compact exhaust, routed entirely underneath the engine adding to the motorcycles clean charecter lines.

In terms of styling, the Panigale V2 features a sharp aerodynamic front nose around a monocoque frame with twin split headlamp units integrated with LED daytime running lamps, bubble windscreen, split seats with a raised tail section, a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT instruments display, and unlike the outgoing model, the Panigale V2 features an aluminium single-sided swingarm and a mid-ship exhaust.

The Panigale V2 comes in the traditional Ducati Red colour and comes with a range of apparel and accessories and bookings are open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Kochi and Ahmedabad.
