The Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak Editions have finally arrived in India. This has always been the sportiest variant of Ducati’s flagship Adventure motorcycles for a long time. We have had the Ducati Multistrada V4 in India for a while now. But Ducati has now launched the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak edition in India. The prices start at INR 31.48 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Ducati confirmed that the bookings for the motorcycle have begun. Meanwhile, the deliveries will most likely start next month onwards.

What Is The Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak V4?

This is a sport-touring adventure motorcycle with more focus on speed and performance. The new V4 Pikes Peak uses the same V4 Gran Turismo engine, displacing 1,158 cc. The performance figure read as 168 BHP at 10,500 rpm along with a peak torque output of 125 Nm at 8,750 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle now gets a shorter front fender. There’s also a full Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension included. Alongside the motorcycle also benefits from a single-sided swingarm, and a new race riding mode. The Multi V4 Pikes Peak also gets the sporty Pikes Peak livery, along with a smoked plexi screen, carbon fibre and other revised ergonomics.

Above all the motorcycle also gets the Akrapovic titanium and carbon exhaust. In fact, the V4 Pikes Peak is the first Multistrada ever to come equipped with electronic Ohlins suspension. The Smart EC 2.0 system is the same as we see in the Panigale V4 S and Streetfighter V4 S. But, unlike the Ducati Skyhook Suspension system adopted by the Multistrada V4, which adapts according to the tarmac’s unevenness to ensure optimal balance, this ‘event-based’ system adjusts the suspension according to the rider’s preference and riding style. The front end utilises 48 mm upside-down gold-anodised forks with 170 mm of travel. Meanwhile the rear benefits from a TTX mono-shock, with 170 mm of travel too.

More On Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak V4

In terms of braking, Multistrada V4 uses 330 mm diameter discs and Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers. For the rear, we have a single 265 mm diameter disc with a Brembo floating calliper. The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak also benefits from a sophisticated electronic package from the Multistrada V4 S. With this the motorcycle gets standard radar technology both at the front and at the rear, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

The equipped 6.5″ TFT dashboard, also available as standard fitment, allows a host of riding statistics. This includes a map navigator, which allows it to mirror the rider’s smartphone. The Ducati Wheelie Control on the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak has an updated strategy. With this, the rider can get an even better response and more accurate control during dynamic riding. Cornering ABS has also been updated to perform in peak conditions in all riding conditions.

Rivals To Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak V4

The Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak V4 will lock its horns against the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT, which is available in two variants, GT Pro and GT Explorer.
