Ducati launches Monster 821 in India for INR 9.51 lakh

Ducati India has today officially launched the all-new Monster 821 motorcycle in India at a price of INR 9.51 lakh. This is an introductory price and the brand claims that this model pays homage to the legendary Monster 900 which was launched 25 years back. The new Monster 821 is said to be taking design inspiration from the elder sibling, the Monster 1200.

Powering the Monster 821 is a L-twin Testastretta 11° engine which is Euro 4 complaint block producing 109 HP of power @ 9250 RPM and 86 Nm of torque @ 7750 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

The new Monster 821 has a redesigned fuel tank, new tail section, all-new exhaust, retro looking headlamp, TFT display, classic yelow paint option and will also be available in red & black colours. The bike also gets a new Ducati Safety Pack which includes Bosch 9.1MP ABS system, traction control with adjustment, power modes and riding modes. Optional features include a quickshifter for upshift & downshift.

The new Monster 821 is equipped with Brembo brakes with 320mm dual front disc & M4-32 monobloc radial calipers, 43mm front fork, rear monoshock with preload & sports a Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyre.

Bookings for the new Monster 821 start from June 2018 and will be available across all showrooms.
