Ducati has launched the Hypermotard 950 SP in the Indian market at the price of INR 19.05 lakh ex-showroom. The higher spec 950 SP come with a special livery, carbon fibre parts, higher-spec suspension and lighter wheels. The Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP also comes with a higher price than the Hypermotard 950 RVE and costs INR 3 lakh more.
Ducati Hypermotard – Higher-Spec Features
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP comes with high end components such as Ohlins suspension on both the ends. The 48mm USD front fork also comes with a 185mm travel compared to the 170mm travel on the standard Marzocchi forks. The Ohlins rear suspension unit also offers an upgraded 175mm of travel 25mm more than the Sachs unit on the standard Hypermotard RVE. The extra travel range in the suspension has also increased the saddle height of the Hypermotard SP to a whopping 890mm which could be a problem for riders with shorter inseam length. In addition to this, the Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP also comes with Marchesini forged wheels which are 2 kgs lighter than the standard.
Ducati Hypermotard – Powertrain
Powering the Hypermotard 950 SP is the 937cc liquid-cooled L-Twin Testastretta motor with Desmodromic valves that develops 114 Hp of power and 96 Nm of torque. The engine also features a 6-speed transmission with hydraulically operated clutch and Ducati EVO up+Down Quickshifter. The Hypermotard 950 SP also comes with a 14.5-litre fuel tank capacity and weighs 193 kg without fuel. The braking equipment is the same twin 320mm semi-floating discs with Brembo Monobloc callipers on the front and a 245mm rear disc with Brembo calliper. In terms of electronic features, the Hypermotard 950 SP comes with a colour TFT display, riding modes, wheelie control, traction control, cornering ABS and more.
With the Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP, the brand now has three Hypermotard bikes in its portfolio. The 950 RVE, the 950 SP and the 698 Mono.
