DICV & CERO want to Boost BharatBenz New Truck Sales

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) announces its partnership with Cero. This is an attempt to boost the sales of BharatBenz trucks in the country. Cero is the scrappage and steel recycling facility owned by Mahindra MSTC Recycling Pvt. Ltd. (MMRPL). It is India’s first organised automobile recycling initiative. The main aim of its introduction is to reduce carbon footprint using eco-friendly methods of recycling metals from ELVs.

This collaboration will offer robust support and hassle-free service to owners. Furthermore, this will also help them to scrap their End of Life (ELV) commercial vehicles and replace them with new BharatBenz trucks. Customers can leverage DICV’s end-to-end solutions for scrapping their old trucks right from the process of vehicle valuation up until the receipt of CoD (Certificate of Deposit).

Benefits Of Vehicle Scrappage

Recently the central government expressed its interest in formulating an official scrappage policy for the country. With the exponential growth of vehicles in the country, it is now equally important to start taking steps to deregulate the old vehicles. And there are a lot of reasons to do the same. Firstly, older vehicles emit more pollution, thus causing more damage to the environment. Secondly, older vehicles also do not meet the necessary safety guidelines, thus making them more prone to accidents and costing lives.

This scrappage policy will provide incentives to the citizens for recycling their end-of-life vehicles and replacing them with more environmentally friendly and safer vehicles of today’s times. This is a great opportunity for customers to replace their old fleet with new updated BSVI-compliant BharatBenz trucks. These ensure a better standard of safety, quality, comfort and state of the art technology. The great potential for new truck sales with the effective implementation of the Scrappage Policy is quite immense.

Cero’s Plans For The Future

Cero is India’s first government-authorised recycler focused on achieving zero pollution with vehicle recycling. Currently, Cero has its presence in over 20+ cities across the country. For the future, the company aims to expand its presence to over 30+ cities in the coming 10 months. BharatBenz dealerships can now leverage CERO’s platform in scrapping customers’ old vehicles. The dealership teams have gone through rigorous training and documentation to support this initiative. This collaborative effort will also enable the dealerships to expand their service base, thus attracting more customers and contributing to green initiatives.
