Hero Karizma XMR 210 to be discontinued soon?

As per the sales report card shared by Hero MotoCorp, the Karizma XMR 210 has become a sheer flop in the past three months. From December 2024 to February 2025, the sportsbike has not even sold a single unit across India.

Now, this could be the cascading effect of the upcoming Karizma XMR 250, which was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in January. The bigger Karizma model features a new 250cc engine, which also powers the newly launched Hero Xtreme 250R.

This new Karizma XMR 250 makes 30 bhp and 25 Nm of peak power and torque, and it comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.

Meanwhile, the XMR 210 is still on sale, as the company’s website shows it listed in the Premia section. Moreover, in January 2025, Hero teased a Combat Edition of Karizma, which sadly never made it to the launch.

Considering the situation, the probability of the Karizma 210 being discontinued and replaced by the Karizma 250R is high. However, we can not deny the possibility that Hero might soon launch an updated Karizma 210 with a better kit like USD forks, new TFT, etc.

Either way, the Karizma brand is going to receive a major update because of its dying sales.

Our verdict

The Karizma made a huge comeback in 2023 with a modern design and a new, liquid-cooled engine. Like everyone, Hero was also expecting skyrocketing sales. However, the opposite seems to have happened and now the only way out is a better bike at an aggressive price tag.
