Yamaha has announced the introduction of the new colour customization option on the Yamaha MT 15 motorcycles in the Indian market. For the new colour customisation options, the Japanese brand has initiated a new campaign called ‘Customize Your Warrior’ in India. The Customize Your Warrior initiative will be launched starting 20th November 2020 across India and draws inspiration from the success of the Ice Fluo-Vermillion colour that was launched in the past on the Yamaha MT 15. The Ice Fluo Vermillion livery is still available for sale and features a new white + orange body and wheel colour option.
The Customise Your Warrior option will only be available on new purchases from the date of launch, that is 20th November 2020. Yamaha MT 15 aficionados can opt from 11 unique combinations at the time of booking and the vehicle will be made by Yamaha based on the order received from the customers. Furthermore, the brand has also announced that deliveries for MT 15 motorcycle under the Customise Your Warrior initiative will start from Jan 2021 but the Yellow colour wheel model will start delivery from Mar 2021.
The Yamaha MT 15 is powered by 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 18.3 BHP of power and 14.1 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper assist clutch. The engine features VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology and is tweaked using street riding specific ECU. The Yamaha MT 15 features an upright streetfighter stance with LED headlamps, LED marker lights, LED tail lamps, muscular fuel tank, a minimalist rear end, upswept exhaust, digital instruments console, right side up telescopic front suspension, monoshock rear suspension, disc brakes on both wheels and single-channel ABS setup.
The Yamaha MT 15 will now be offered in a total of 14 colour options – 3 standard colour options and 11 Customise Your Warrior colour options. Yamaha has announced that the price on the MT 15 has been fixed at INR 1,43,900 ex-showroom Delhi.
