Continental CrossContact AX6 SUV tyres launched in India

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Continental Tires announces the launch of New CrossContact AX6 Tyres for the Indian market. This set of tyres will suit the SUVs, whose numbers are increasing at a constant pace. Continental mentioned that Generation 6 CrossContact AX6 tyres provide excellent durability, low noise, and tread design. Furthermore, the tyres provide ultimate control and performance on all terrain and wet road conditions. Given the rising demand for SUVs in the Indian market, which will grow even stronger in the future, Continental has come up with this innovative tyre. As per studies, SUVs and crossovers currently contribute to almost 38 per cent of the market share.

Key Features Of CrossContact AX6 Tyres

Performing equally well in terms of performance and ride quality, this CrossContact AX6 tyre is quite a game-changer. Continental mentioned that the tyres ensure grip on loose surfaces like gravel and provide additional traction on off-road surfaces. Moreover, these tyres can also help in offering shorter braking distances in wet road conditions. These tyres are already performing well in the overseas market. And now, Continental hopes to replicate the same for the Indian market as well.

Continental has talked highly of the off-roading traction and grip provided by the tyre. The use of an open tread pattern provides maximised edges and contact area, helping in additional off-road traction. Furthermore, the tyres also include traction grooves with gripping teeth that prevent the loose surface from sliding through the tread grooves.

Another key feature in this tyre is the Silica Tread Compound. This is a polymer structure that grips on the road, thus giving excellent traction and braking on wet and slippery roads. Continental mentioned that the large tread blocks and tough tread compound aid in minimising the stone retention. This results in resisting cutting and chipping of tyres, thus increasing the durability and robustness. The innovative noise blockers in the shoulder of the tyre block sound waves and unnecessary noise generated by the tyres hence providing a quieter ride.
