Kawasaki dealers have started accepting bookings for the Ninja ZX-10R. Well, the bike was already on sale, but the bookings open now are for the locally assembled CKD Ninja ZX-10R. While pricing details are not out yet, it is being said that the bikes could reach showrooms in the coming weeks. The current Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R brought in as a CBU was being sold at prices of nearly INR 18.5 lakh ex-showroom. Now, the good news is, the new CKD assembled Ninja ZX-10R could have an on-road price tag of around INR 18 lakh. And that’s keeping discounts aside which will follow in the festive seasons.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is set to become the most affordable litre-class superbike in India. It will become cheaper than rivals Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, BMW S1000RR & Suzuki GSX-R1000R.

So the rumour mill is hinting at ex-showroom prices in the range of INR 14-15 lakh. So the on-road pricing will vary accordingly, but close to INR 18 lakh.

With CKD assembled, this will be the most expensive motorcycle from Team Green Kawasaki to be built in India.

Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a 998cc, in-line, 4-cylinder, petrol motor producing 220 HP of power and 113.5 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with quickshifter. It comes with riding modes, traction control, ABS, engine braking function, launch control, cornering management, and more.

The CKD assembled Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is expected to have the following additions, or rather modifications when launched in India. Expect ugly and ungainly looking saree guard and front number plate mount sticking out.
