Citroen increases C5 Aircross SUV prices by almost INR 1.4 lakh

Renowned French automaker Citroen has hiked the prices of its C5 Aircross SUV by INR 1.4 lakh in India. Citroen India launched the C5 Aircross SUV in April 2021 with two distinct variants, namely ‘Feel’ and ‘Shine’. The standard ‘Feel’ variant costs INR 1.4 lakh extra, whereas the ‘Style’ costs an additional INR 90,000. The updated price for the monotone ‘Feel’ version of the SUV is INR 31.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The dual-tone ‘Feel’ variant costs INR 31.80 lakh (ex-showroom), and the ‘Shine’ costs INR 32.8 lakh (ex-showroom).

2021 Citroen C5 Aircross: Design & Colours 

The C5 Aircross features a double chevron design at the front with split LED headlamps and LED DRLs. The car features 360-degree glazed surfaces with curved side panels and a chromed ‘C’ motif as a window garnish. The SUV features rectangular LED tail lamps with four 3D lighting modules, black wheel arches, and roof rails.

Along with 18-inch, “SWIRL” themed, two-tone Diamond Cut Alloy wheels, the SUV sports black ORVM housings and rock guards. Citroen offers the SUV in 4 body colour options: Pearl White, Pearl Nera Black, Cumulus Grey, and Tijuaca Blue. All three colours except for the Pearl Nera Black get an optional dual-tone black painted roof.

2021 Citroen C5 Aircross: Interior Highlights 

Citroen has designed the interior of the C5 Aircross SUV solely focussing on the comfort aspect of the passengers. The C5 Aircross features unique three individually adjustable seats on the second row with sliding and reclining functionality. Citron offers acoustic windshield glass and its ‘Flying Carpet’, Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension system for enhanced comfort and sound insulation.

Taking inspiration from home furniture, the french automaker also offers ‘Comfort Seats’ for front passengers to provide a relaxing drive. The C5 Aircross sports 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with a panoramic sunroof. Other interior features include a 12.3-inch customizable digital driver’s display, rear AC vents, gesture-controlled tailgate, and reverse parking sensors.

2021 Citroen C5 Aircross: Powertrain Highlights 

Powering the SUV is a BS6-compliant, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine producing 177 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. Paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the SUV claims to offer an 18.6 kmpl fuel economy figure. The French automaker has announced that the C5 Aircross sold in India will only get a diesel powertrain. The SUV sports a “Grip Control” system with 4 Standard traction modes (ESC), Snow, All-Terrain, and Sand.
